The origin of today's BREDO DRY DOCKS GmbH lies in the merger of the three formerly independent shipyards, the Mützelfeldtwerft GmbH & Co. KG in Cuxhaven, the German Dry Docks AG and the BREDO Dockgesellschaft mbH, both in Bremerhaven. In order to offer customers the greatest possible capacity and flexibility in providing suitable docks and shipyard facilities, the companies were successively merged in the period 2018/2019/2020 and united under the new brand BREDO DRY DOCKS.

Each of the three companies has contributed its core competence into the merger, the experience of ship newbuilding, the management skills of demanding major projects and projects of the Navy and the flexibility for efficient ship maintenance and repair 24/7.

A centralized management now controls the performance in the three production sites, each operated by an utmost experienced production manager and his team.

With the bundling of shipyard capacities and the expertise of more than 300 employees, BREDO DRY DOCKS is the right partner for every project.
